Applications: MOLPOL® PEG8000 is widely used in tablets, capsules, film-coated tablets, creams, ointments, gels, suppositories and controlled-release dosage forms. As a film-coating plasticizer, it enhances coating flexibility and improves moisture protection and stability. It also serves as controlled release.

1 Description It occurs as white, waxy, plastic material having a consistency similar to beeswax, or as creamy white flakes, beads, or powders.
2 Solubility It is freely soluble in water. soluble in acetone, in alcohol, in chloroform, in ethylene glycol monoethyl ether, in ethyl acetate, and in toluene; Insoluble in ether and in hexane.
3 Residue On Ignition Not more than 0.1%.
4 Limit of Fee ethylene oxide and 1,4-Dioxane NMT 10 μg/g of ethylene oxide and NMT 10 μg/g of 1,4-dioxane.
5 pH 4.5 – 7.5
6 Completeness And Color of Solution It is clear for liquid grades and not more than slightly hazy for solid grades.

(A) Not less than 87.5 % and not more than 112.5%.

PACKAGING

MOLPOL® PEG8000 is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserved in tight containers.
