Additionally, it is used to mask the unpleasant taste of drugs in oral solid dosage forms (such as tablets or granules).

(A) The Sample solution in the Assay exhibits a maximum at 277 ± 3 nm.
(B) Specified test. The solution shows a vivid green fluorescence.
(C) Specified test. A film is deposited as the methanol evaporates.
3 Solubility Soluble in methanol and in alcohol; insoluble in water, in methylene chloride, and in chloroform.
4 Residue on ignition Not more than 1.0%
5 Free phthalic acid Not more than 0.6%, on the anhydrous basis

(A) Phthalyl Content
Not less than 55.0% and not more than 62.0% of phthalyl (o-carboxybenzoyl, C8H5O3 ) groups on the anhydrous, acid-free basis.

PACKAGING

MOLPOL® VAP is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. It is kept in a tightly closed container.
